Karl recently directed and produced SWIMMING WITH BUTTERFLIES for Invisalign, an 8 minute branded documentary about 3x Paralympic swimmer Lizzi Smith and her intimate journey to redefine her identity beyond the pool. Earning 2x Gold Clio’s, a 2025 Tribeca X selection, Gold ADDY and Jury Award, 6x Telly awards and a Webby nomination, it’s been viewed 1.8MM+ views across social, and has been featured on No Film School. The unbranded version has also screened at over a dozen Oscar Qualifying festivals, winning the Jury Award at Sebsatopol and qualifying to submit to the 2025 Oscars.

Additionally, Karl produced sci-fi / western “THE LORD OF ALL FUTURE SPACE AND TIME” for writer-director Chris Paul Russell, which premiered at Tribeca 2025 alongside Swimming with Butterflies at Tribeca X.

He is also concluding his festival run with (DIS)CONNECTED, a sci-fi proof-of-concept for a feature that examines our relationship with memory, reality, and choice. Screening at over 20 festivals, including Austin Film Festival, LA Shorts, PROOF, and FilmQuest - the film has earned multiple awards including best sci-fi. Premiering online with DUST 1/6/25, the feature script is being developed with writer Hussain Pirani (known for FBI: INTERNATIONAL).
